So far no broken bones

This is the view as I bike into work in the morning.

My supervisor worries about me driving in the dark to catch the train at night. That's not the real concern. Far more worrisome is my klutz factor. On the way home Thursday I managed to hit the lip of a handicap curb wrong. Let's just say that the rest of the ride to the train station the song in my head was, "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again."

Ooh, watch out for the klutz factor. Nothing like a simple trip in the yard/bumping of a curb to lead to surgery, physical therapy, and copays.

That said, if klutziness lands you in a heap of trouble and you need a short-cam walker air-cast or crutches, I got the hook-up.

- and that's why I don't bike. That and the fact that I never learned how.

Hey, be careful out there!

It's so crazy to read about you biking when I'm posting about snowshoeing. What I wouldn't give to live where that's a possibility in January!

I've got the klutz factor in spades. Glad you have a sense of humor about it and that you didn't hurt yourself.

I used to bike to work and everyone thought I was a little batty. I guess I was, since I biked into downtown Boston. I loved it, though. It energized me on the way in in the morning and it was a great way to release work-related tension on the way home.

Alot of my coworkers think I am crazy for walking the 1/3 of a mile to work each day. I can't even tell you how many people offered me rides, especially at first. I had to keep explaining that I had a car in working order - I was choosing to walk. I find it so much more peaceful, even the the cold snowy weather of upstate NY.
